As America enters a new chapter, it's going to need a theme to go along with it. Trump is scary to a lot of people. The future is scary. Now's not the time to give up on the political process out of fear, sadness, or apathy. Now's the time to fight for what you believe in and stand up!! Vote with your ballot and your wallet. The political revolution Bernie started is far from over and that's what this song is about.
Our Revolution was written to give a boost of energy to activists hard at work on the struggle bus giving their blood, sweat, and tears (literally) for causes they care deeply about. It's written to bring hope to those that may have trouble finding it during a dark time. It's a battle-cry, a rally song, and a call-to-action. The world needs saving and it's not going to take a superhero--it's going to take all of us working together and recognizing the humanity in each other.
This is about re-engaging in a healthy political discourse with those who may have different viewpoints after the most negative campaign in modern history. It's about not demonizing others because they disagree with you. It's about love and understanding.
Our Revolution took 2 months to create, hundreds of hours of work, and most of all was the work of not just myself- but a team. Great things are accomplished when we work together.
